About GRENFIN

Grenfin slogan - dangerous when wet

GRENFIN Swim Club is one of the oldest and largest swim clubs in Grenada. The Club accommodates all levels of swimmers, from Learn-To-Swim to Olympian. We offer long-term and short-term swim lessons for recreation, for fitness/weight loss, to pass exams, as well as competitive swimming for the elite swimmer.

GRENFIN hosts an Annual Invitational Meet, which serves as an OECS time trial event. The Club travels abroad regularly for competitive and friendly meets in St. Lucia, Barbados, St Vincent and Trinidad. The vast majority of the Grenada National Swim Team are GRENFIN swimmers, and they particpate in OECS, CISC, Carifta, Commonwealth, YOG, FINA WORLDS PASO meets. GRENFIN swimmers have won Junior and Senior National Sports Awards and we can boast that many of our swimmers excel out of the pool at CPEA, CXC and other scholastic examinations. GRENFIN is proud of the fact that all of the swimmers who have represented Grenada at the Olympics have been club members.

As a non-profit organisation, GRENFIN engages in a number of fund-raising social activities each year, such as pool parties, movie nights and beach BBQs. The Club also maintains an inventory of branded t-shirts, swim caps, goggles and training equipment which are available for sale.

The Club is administered by an Executive/Management Board; elections are held annually and club parents/members are eligible to nominate officers or be nominated. A copy of the by-laws can be obtained from the Club's Secretary.
